As I have been writing recently, I am now knee deep into the restaurant industry after leaving my webmaster position. Right now, that simply means me working full-time at the Cafe @ Nordstrom. I am trying to learn as much as I can there as well as gain outside perspectives within the food industry. When the mice are away, the cat will play.
Let’s pretend for a second that I am a cat and my folks are the mice. Well, the mice are currently away celebrating their 35th anniversary (congrats to them), so the cat decided that he would play. I decided that I wanted to try to create something new and unique that I had never really messed with before. I wanted to perfect a recipe prior to unleashing it on the masses, aka my family. That is why and how The Grilled Cheese Test Kitchen was created. I hope to return to The Kitchen often to try off the wall and crazy recipes before I cook them for a Sunday Dinner feature and my family.
