The Dark Knight - New Poster…Now with EVEN more poster goodness!

Another New Poster Below!

I was never really a fan of “Comic Book Movies.” When I was younger I never watched any of the Superman or Batman movies. I did see Batman Forever and enjoyed it, but that was about it. When X-Men came out in 2000, it was met with an “eh” by me. Spiderman? Yeah, they weren’t bad, but of course ended up going downhill very quickly. (Can anyone say emo Spiderman?)

This all changed in 2005 when I saw Batman Begins. Although I enjoyed the first half better, when the audience learned about the history of Batman, the entire movie was awesome. In the very least this movie had awoken a love for Batman and in turn Christopher Nolan, director of Batman Begins. This love tried to translate to Superman Returns but unfortunately, in my eyes, that movie did not live up to the superhero hype.

Then, The Dark Knight was announced and I began to follow every move. Sure, I didn’t partake in all of the viral marketing, but I tried to stay on top of the latest news, including of course, Heath Ledger’s death. I was hyped for this movie. New poster came out? Awesome. New trailer? I am there, watching it on my work computer in HD over and over.

Now, FirstShowing.net has news of another new poster and if I do say so myself, it is absolutely amazing. Being a designer I may love the poster for different reasons as compared to the general public. However, I also may like it since I am a guy and there is destruction, fire and Batman in this new poster. What guy wouldn’t like that?!

Remember, courtesy of FirstShowing.net, The Dark Knight is again directed by Christopher Nolan (Memento, Batman Begins, The Prestige) and co-written by Nolan, his brother Jonathan Nolan (The Prestige), and David S. Goyer (Blade, Batman Begins). The movie arrives in theaters worldwide on July 18th this summer!

I would have loved to have been the one designing these things because they are simply awesome. Plus it looks like if Christopher Nolan is willing to do “Batman 3,” Christian will be right there with him. Can’t we just see The Dark Knight before we start talking about sequels?
