After yesterday’s very cool photo of the clouds, I was thinking of doing a series of cloud photos. Today, I was going to try and find a location that was higher up, to give the perspective of looking directly at the clouds, as opposed to staring up at them.
That all changed when I left the office and heard a noise near my car. Up in the tree, almost like he was waiting for me, was a cardinal, chirping. I hurriedly took my camera out, changed to my zoom lens, and started to snap away. He continued to sit on the same branch for awhile and then eventually moved to another one. I moved around, trying to get the best lighting and to avoid any blurry images. It wasn’t easy, not at all, but out of almost 65 photos, I found 4 that I liked. I have narrowed it down to one, for today’s A Photo A Day.
After taking all those photos, I looked down for a moment at my camera, then quickly looked back up, and he was gone. He had flown away, trying to find whatever he happened to be chirping at. Hopefully, in the future, he will return, and pose again, for me and my camera. I will be waiting.
