I have to admit, I never watched Transformers as a kid, it simply did not interest me. I was definitely not your typical male when it came to my childhood and cartoons. When the movie was announced and information began to be released, I wasn’t even that interested then. However, as it neared closer to the release date, and I read more information, my interest was piqued. And when I heard that J.J. Abrams movie trailer was attached to Transformers, I knew, I had to go.

Last night was when I went. I went in with no expectations, and I was pretty much blown away. Although the movie was a little long, and the fight scene at the end was a tad bit confusing, the movie was still well done. The plot was limited, but interesting enough that one wouldn’t get bored. The humor factor, which was totally unexpected, was a great touch, and helped carry the movie along at a nice pace. This is one of the reasons the first half of the movie was more interesting than the second, the second was light on humor and heavy on the action. The casting of Shia LaBeouf and the always sexy Megan Fox, was perfect, as they worked great separately and together.

Overall, I would give the movie a B+/A-, and highly recommend it to a Transformer fan and non-fan alike. If you do go, let me know what you think…
