Baseball? No. Sick? Yes.

As I have written the past couple of days, the Indians were supposed to play baseball today. And as has been the outcome the past couple days, they didn’t. 6 tries for a home opener, and they struck-out each time.

The heavy snow in Cleveland appears to have dissipated, but the field conditions remain unplayable. Grounds-crew members worked from 6 a.m. ET into the afternoon to clear the field off with bulldozers, snow plows and shovels, but the damp ground underneath was an injury concern.

Because of the crazy weather, the Indians next series has been moved, to of all places, Milwaukee, where they might have snow, but they also have a roof. There, the Indians will play their “home opener” against the Angels, whos home stadium is in Anaheim. Confused yet? I think the whole city of Cleveland has been lost since last Friday…when the Indians were 1 pitch away from an official game and a win.

If you would like to fly to Milwaukee, you are able to catch the Indians home opener for $10, in a National League park, 7 hours away from their true home.

As a quick note, yesterday I measured 21 inches on our lawn, but according to the local ABC Affiliate, Solon received 30.8 inches of snow. Take that, snow belt!

But enough about sports and snow, they have been the focus of my rants for far too many days. Now it is time to whine about being sick, my runny nose, my dry cough and even my hot flashes. Sure I make it sound bad, but it really isn’t, I just needed a subject/story for today’s photo. I have taken a photo of pills and their box, the same medicine which has been making me feel better the past day or so.

Get well soon!

Today was the hardest day to choose a topic, let alone a photo, for A Photo A Day and it is only going to get harder. Wish me luck. Until tomorrow…
