Snow. Indians cancellations. Snow. Snow photos. Indians cancellations. The Indians home opener has been cancelled because of SNOW 5 times in 3 days, the first time in their 100+ year history. The photo above was taken today when the Indians should have been playing their delayed home opener. However they will try and salvage 2 games tomorrow when the snow should at least let-up for 9 innings of baseball!
For the first time since the snow onslaught began, I had some time today to go outside and enjoy it; I had time to take pictures. For the first time I was truly able to see how much snow we received! According to cleveland.com the Solon’ish area had 14 inches through 6 p.m. on Saturday. Today, I measured and as you will see in the photo below, we received plenty of snow in the past couple days! Oh yeah, as I keep saying, this is Easter Sunday, in April.

21 inches of snow measured on our lawn.
My father’s car sat out since Friday afternoon and had 14 inches of snow on top of it. Right next to it, 18 inches, and as you can see, 21 inches on our lawn. Pretty crazy if you ask me.
Oh and you gotta love the yuppies who are afraid of being snowed in…
In Pepper Pike, a police dispatcher said she received 15 calls from people worried about being stranded in their homes because their private snow contractors were not responding to their calls.
All this leads us to today’s A Photo A Day, which hopefully is the last snow themed photo for awhile. This photo was taken of my neighbors garage, which seems to have more icicles forming than our garage. The blue tint was actually a mistake and occurred because somehow I changed the white balance when I didn’t mean too. However, I like it and believe that it adds something to the photo! Until tomorrow…
