TV comedies are supposed to be funny.

TV comedies are supposed to be funny. Tonight, I watched The Class and How I Met Your Mother, both on CBS. I believe, these are both labeled as sitcoms, and most sitcoms, if not all, are funny…right? Tonight, these both were nowhere near funny, they were actually depressing. I will not go into the details of the shows because it isn’t necessary and will take up more time than I have.

I watch these shows to lose myself in them and well, to laugh. However, tonight when I started to watch them, I was happy and smiling. After watching these shows, I was depressed and the smile I had vanished. The Class has had only had 2 episodes and both were only a tad funny…while I know that humor is just around the corner with How I Met Your Mother, or so I hope. I don’t know, I simply felt the need to vent about the affect TV had on me tonight. It made me sad and depressed and emotional. Grrr…

P.S. Later, I turn on Boy Meets World at 2 A.M. and guess what? The episode they choose to show tonight is a downer too. Do the TV people really want me to cry tonight? Do they not already know that I can cry at events in my own life? Grrr.
